THE ROOTS 'How I Got Over' (Def Jam/Universal) OUT NOW Le dixième album de The Roots est enfin disponible et de qualité comme s'en est devenu une habitude, une marque de fabrique... Toujours des invités Hip-Hop comme Dice Raw, Blu, Phonte et Peedi Crakk, mais aussi John Legend, Patty Crash et bien d'autres. Le mieux est encore de l'écouter et d'apprécier !

BIO

Originaire de Philadelphie, The Roots s'est formé il y a une quizaine d'années et a commencé par des performances live avant de sortir leur premier album en indépendant "Organix" en 1993.

Composé du MC Black Thought, du batteur ?uestlove et le futur producteur Scott Storch alors simple clavier, le groupe est rapidement courtisé par les majors, ils signent avec le label Geffen et sortent leur deuxième album en 1995 "Do You Want More?!!!??!" toujours en formation 100% live et sans l'utilisation de samples allant ainsi à l'encontre de la tradition Hip-Hop de l'époque.

S'en suivent "Illadelph Halflife" en 1996, "Things Fall Appart" en 1999, "Phrenology" en 2002 et "The Tipping Point" en 2004. Puis Ils signent avec le label Def Jam en 2005 et sortent "Game Theory" en 2006 suivi de "Rising Down" en 2008.

Voici "How I Got Over", dixième album du groupe dont la réputation scénique a dépassé les frontières du Hip-Hop.
